Worship and Spirituality

March 17, 2020

Out of love for our vulnerable neighbors, and to halt the spread of COVID-19, all worship services and in-person gatherings are suspended until further notice.  To be alerted about online services and other opportunities to gather, please be sure you are subscribed to our mailing list at the bottom of this page.

Each week we have three different worship offerings designed to meet various needs:

  • The Sunday 8:00 am Service uses the traditional language of Rite One from the Book of Common Prayer as its liturgy. Usually around 30 people attend this service and its style is more formal and appealing to those who wish a traditional worship experience.
  • The Sunday 10:30 am Service uses the modern language of Rite Two and other contemporary liturgies. Attendance is usually around 100. During the school year, our wonderful choir enhances the worship at this service, and child-care (for children 3 and under) and Sunday school for ages 3-15 are available.  During the summer months, this service takes place at 9:30 am with hymns but no choir or Sunday school.
  • Wednesdays at 9:00 am a service offering Holy Communion with prayers for healing takes place followed by an informal Bible Study at 9:30 in the Great Hall.

Summer or winter, there certainly is no “dress code” at Saint David’s. You are invited to be comfortable and “come as you are” to worship with us.  Both services include a sermon and are celebrations of Holy Communion to which all people are invited and encouraged to receive the Sacrament.
