Altar Guild

altar photoThe duties of the members of the Altar Guild include preparing and setting out the elements of communion and preparing the altar vestments which coordinate with the liturgical seasons.  They place the flowers, water the plants and refill the candles.  They are also responsible for washing the used linens and disposing of left over communion elements according to specified tradition.  It would be correct to say that the Altar Guild partners with the priest in making the worship life of the parish run smoothly.
