Contemplative prayer is an important part of the Christian’s prayer life. One method of learning more about this is through Centering Prayer, though there are other ways. A group of people who took workshops on this topic participate in a weekly meeting where silent prayer is participated in, along with discussion pertaining to a relevant book. So far some of the reading material has included writings from Thomas Merton, Cynthia Bourgeault, Jim Marion, Thomas Keating and Richard Rohr.
Centering Prayer takes place in the Library at Saint David’s on Friday mornings from 9:00AM to 10:30AM.
If anyone is interested in pursuing this form of prayer and would like to be part of the group, then please contact Suzanne Robinson at email@example.com or 967-9959. She would be delighted to give you further information.
