Pledging at Saint David’s
A pledge is a promise to provide a certain amount of financial support to St. David’s during 2018. Annual pledges and Sunday offerings are the major source of funding for everything we do at St. David’s. We receive no support from the Diocese. Pledges allow us to budget wisely as we offer ministries and services to our congregation, the larger community and the wider world.
In the autumn of each year, we establish a budget for the upcoming calendar year (which is our fiscal year). Then we campaign with our people to collect their pledge commitments in support of this budget. These generous offerings provide the vast majority of the revenue that Saint David’s needs in order to celebrate, strengthen and invite all to serve as God has called us to do.
This year we will kick off our 2018 Stewardship Ministry with a Pot Luck Supper on Thursday, October 12 from 6-8 PM. Join us for good fellowship and a delicious potluck dinner, and share our exciting vision for St David’s future as we enter our first full year with our new rector! Child care will be provided.
Please thoughtfully and prayerfully consider how your financial support of this community allows us to share the light of Christ year after year in ways that we can never do as isolated individuals or households. God has called us together for this purpose and end: to be a beacon of hope and light in the midst of a confused and troubled world.
